3 day weekend with the roomies

This 3 day weekend 2 of my roommates, a girl in our apartment complex and I went to 1 of our roomies home towns, a few hours away.

First we went to dinner and then breakfast.

We went sight seeing

And swimming

Went on a date

And then went shooting on our last day in town.

Altogether it was a great and very successful weekend! Hoping to do it again, sometime in the spring when it's warm maybe?

Crazy roommate antics

This is what happens, 2 am, University style :P

People watching and church going.

M's 20th

On the 7th M had his 20th birthday and a bunch of people went over to celebrate.

Eating some cake

Two of my roommates

Some people waiting for the party to start.

The cake I made for him.

Rocking Climbing

I have been busy again so catching up is definitely necessary.

Sometime in January, probably later January, two of my room mates and I went rock climbing. Our friend worked at the rock climbing wall and so we got in for free which was really nice!Getting our harness' on.

Not very interesting I'm sure, but there's not much to tell. We went, we climbed, we went home :) It was really fun though, good bonding experience.

New Campus Building

Our beautiful new building!

From the outside it already looks gigantic...then you walk inside. It is pretty mind blowing. Especially our conference center.

The brand new courts and an indoor track.

In order to decrease the amount of energy this building uses, we have these, to reflect the lights and make sure it's bright enough. It really does work.

And finally...drum roll please.

Our very own conference center!

The spirit of the Lord is so incredible here and my testimony increases daily. I love being on this campus and feel so blessed to be a member of this school and church. I love my Savior and I can't imagine being anywhere other than where I am now. I can't imagine life without my God, it would be so meaningless.
I am so grateful for this building and for all those sacrifices and tithes that were given to create such a wonder. We are so fortunate to be able to attend this magnificent building and to hear words of wisdom, not only weekly for devotionals, but daily from peers and professors.

        "Come, thou Fount of every blessing,
tune my heart to sing thy grace;
streams of mercy, never ceasing,
call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it,
mount of thy redeeming love.

2. Here I raise mine Ebenezer;
hither by thy help I'm come;
and I hope, by thy good pleasure,
safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
wandering from the fold of God;
he, to rescue me from danger,
interposed his precious blood.

3. O to grace how great a debtor
daily I'm constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter,
bind my wandering heart to thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
prone to leave the God I love;
here's my heart, O take and seal it,
seal it for thy courts above."

I wish I could figure out how to get the actual video from youtube onto here, but alas I don't know how. Even so, go listen to the Tabs rendition of "Come Thou Fount". It will really make you contemplate your existence and divine birth.

Return to the Burg.

I have been so busy these past few weeks! School started again and it has been so crazy. By my 3rd day here I was already overwhelmed by the homework and spent the entire weekend working my butt off.
It takes some time to readjust I think. This year it was my brother, M's, first year in college. It was such an adventure. We stopped at my aunts house for the night (thank you!) before continuing on our adventure. After about 12 hours (total driving time), we finally arrived!
We got busy unpacking and reacquainting ourselves with the tiny town. Of course for my brother, it was new. He didn't like it here for the first day because it's cold, small, and he was lonely, but he's made some good friends now and seems happy.

P.S. To anyone who is wondering how my weight loss progress is going; it's going well! The 1st 2 weeks that I did P90x I lost 11 lbs, which is so amazing!...then Halloween came around. I gained most of the weight back, not my happiest moment, haha.
It's ok though, school was fast approaching and so I didn't have enough time to restart the program so when I lost my job at a local restaurant I found a new one at a clothing store, no food involved! (except lunch) So I was walking around and not eating fries. No fries = weight lose!
So now I have lost a total of 13 lbs, which brings me from 155 to 142 and going down.

I'll update again soon when homework allows me some time :)

I'm pretty sure I have gone crazy with blogs today, but I had some catching up to do.
These are just some pictures from this morning. Enjoy!
